Welcome to the Juang Lab. Led by Dr. Jyh-Lyh (Jerry) Juang, our team is dedicated to uncovering the systemic and molecular drivers of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). We are an interdisciplinary research group focusing on the intersection of Neuroscience, Immunology, and Microbiology to solve the complexities of AD.
The Juang Lab operates at the forefront of translational neuroscience. We believe that AD is not just a localized brain disorder but a systemic condition influenced by inter-organ communication and genetic predispositions. Our mission is to decode the "dialogue" between the brain and the rest of the body, specifically the gut microbiome and the immune system, to develop precision therapies for AD.

We are looking for passionate, curious, and driven students (Masters and Ph.D. candidates) who want to challenge the status quo of Alzheimer’s research. In the Juang Lab, you will gain expertise in functional genomics, advanced imaging, microbiome analysis, and animal models of disease.
